Community Drug Toss Day:

GBC Bank and Neighborhoods Against Substance Abuse (NASA) continue a partnership to provide this free service to our community.  The event provides an opportunity to drop off your unused or expired medications for safe disposal.  Accepted medications include unused or expired prescriptions or over-the-counter medications in pill or liquid form, inhalers, tracheotomy cleaners and sharps (needles).  Sharps must be in a sealed plastic container with an attached lid (ex. empty laundry detergent bottle).  Unacceptable containers for sharps:  Milk containers are not recommended as needles can puncture the thin plastic.  Do not place sharps in baggies.

Law enforcement officers and NASA staff will be present to accept medications.  Medications, labels and containers will be destroyed in the form of incineration at an environmentally safe site.  Medications are in the possession of law enforcement until incineration.

No drop-offs will be accepted prior to or after the event.

Community Drug Toss Day:  Saturday, September 28 from 9am-12pm at the Main Branch, 1920 N State St. in Greenfield
