Greenfield Banking Company (GBC Bank) is thrilled to announce the appointment of two esteemed professionals, Michael O'Connor and Katie Culp, to its Board of Directors. Bringing decades of experience in government affairs, economic development, and public policy, their combined expertise will significantly bolster the bank’s strategic direction, deepen community engagement, and support sustainable growth initiatives across the greater Hancock County region.

Greenfield Banking Company (GBC Bank) is pleased to announce the appointment of Katie Culp to its Board of Directors. With over two decades of experience in economic development, real estate, and consulting, Katie brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the board, further strengthening the bank's commitment to innovation and community growth.

Katie Culp currently serves as Chief Executive Officer at KSM Location Advisors, where she leads the firm’s site selection and incentive practice. Her career has been marked by successful collaborations with Fortune 500 companies, developers, and
municipalities, driving significant economic growth and development across various sectors. Katie’s strategic vision and leadership have earned her recognition as a trusted advisor in the industry.

Katie's career achievements include leading multi-million-dollar projects, securing significant economic incentives, and advising on high-profile real estate transactions. She has also been a key advocate for business retention and expansion, demonstrating a strong commitment to fostering sustainable economic growth.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Katie is actively involved in several community and industry organizations. She serves on the board of directors for the Indy Chamber and WFYI, among other affiliations.

Katie holds a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science degree in public policy, both from Indiana University. Her appointment to the Board of Directors is effective October 1, 2024.

 

GBC Bank Announces the Appointment of Michael O'Connor to Board of Directors

Greenfield Banking Company (GBC Bank) is proud to welcome Michael O'Connor to its Board of Directors. With a long career at all levels of government and a distinguished career in private sector public policy, Michael brings a wealth of experience and a strategic perspective that will be instrumental in guiding the bank's future growth and community engagement efforts.

Michael O'Connor currently serves as Principal at Bose Public Affairs Group. He previously served as Vice President of Global Corporate Affairs at Inotiv, Inc., a global Contract Research Organization and as Associate Vice President of State Government and Corporate Affairs at Eli Lilly and Company, where he was responsible for shaping and implementing corporate strategy in
relation to Indiana state government. O’Connor also served as Chief Deputy Mayor and Chief of Staff to Indianapolis Mayor Bart Peterson from 2000-2005 and was Commissioner of the Indiana Department of Environmental Management for Governor Evan Bayh.

Michael's career includes several high-profile government roles, including serving as a Presidential Appointment to the US EPA in Washington DC, as well as currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Indianapolis Indians. In addition to his professional achievements, Michael is deeply committed to community service. He has co-chaired the United Way's Ready to Learn, Ready to Earn committee and chaired the Early Learning Business Roundtable. He currently serves Vice President of the Board of Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana and Chairs the Board of the National Institute for Fitness and Sport. O’Connor served as an elected Commissioner. of the Indianapolis Public Schools Board from 2015-2020 and as President of the Board from 2018-2020.
